GeForce 9800 GX2 - March only

Now at least we think we know the reasons for the postponement.

It has now become absolutely certain, isn't it, that in February we certainly cannot expect NVIDIA to usurp the throne in the top category of the VGA market (let's be happy if the 9600 GT arrives "on time"). We have to wait until March for the release of the GeForce 9800 GX2, we cannot say more precisely than that at the moment.

There are two main reasons for the delay. One is that the card even exceeds the previously announced TDP value of 250 watts, which is no small "performance". As a result of this, the cooling of the VGA must be perfected, which, contrary to what was planned so far, will be able to keep both GPUs at a normal temperature. Another reason is that NVIDIA would like to see even higher FPS numbers when connecting two GeForce 9800 GX2s, that is, they are not satisfied with what quad-SLI provides.

All NVIDIA news are overdue!

The information here is that it is now quite certain that two G2GTS on the GX92 will come back to us, meaning we can expect 2 × 128 NVIDIA shaders, which is a guarantee of brutal performance. Unfortunately, we can't provide accurate clock signals yet, but it already seems certain that we shouldn't be afraid to lift.
