Half-tall Galaxy GeForce 9400 GT and 9500 GT HTPCs

Galaxy has introduced low-end, low-profile video cards.

Galaxy Microsystems' new video cards are best recommended for HTPCs due to their half-height nature. The newcomers to the company’s otherwise not-too-poor product range are relatives. For both VGAs, we can talk about operating frequencies of 550 and 1375 MHz, respectively, at least in terms of GPU and stream processors. Yes, but the 9500 GT features twice as many shading units (32 versus 16), plus the DDR128 chips connected to the 2-bit memory bus run at higher clock speeds. For the 9400 GT, the 512 MB of memory works at 400 MHz and for the 9500 GT at 800 MHz.

Active-cooled DirectX 10.0 graphics controllers feature a D-Sub and DVI connector on the back, as well as a TV-out. Distribution information has so far been withheld by Galaxy.
