The biggest positive of the new NITRO is that it can be used with pretty much any GeForce-based graphics card.

Fortunately, the updated NITRO and its accompanying FireStorm software remedy the previous shortcoming, as the only condition for compatibility is that the unit selected for tuning must be at least a member of the GeForce 8 family, so it is no longer necessary for the ominous hardware to come from the manufacturer's workshop. . Of course, NITRO will be able to be used seamlessly with newer cards, which can be considered a significant positive in terms of durability. The capabilities of the device have also been expanded to a lesser extent: among the novelties, the control of the speed of all fans in the system and the refinement of the steps of manual tuning can be highlighted. The latter means the possibility of increasing the clock in 1, 5 and 10 MHz units, which means that the degree of fine-tuning can be maximized in all cases.

Whether the updated software will also be available to users with previous-generation NITRO is still questionable.
