The Xiaomi, the Alfawise M1 electric scooter, got a strong challenge!
Alfawise targeted one of Xiaomi’s most successful scooters, the M365, and hit it properly based on pictures, videos, data.
Electric scooters are becoming more and more successful worldwide, and in many places they are already too successful. No wonder, as they are a great alternative to cars in urban transport, but even to public transport. They are cheap to maintain, they can be charged at home, they are easy to store, most can be folded, and you can even take them with you in the trunk of your car if you need to commute from one of the suburbs and only want to drive to the nearest P + R car park.
The Xiaomi M365 is a well-equipped scooter with medium power, so it may even be suitable for beginners. This is due to many things, such as good brakes and factory-fitted lights. If anyone wants to oust the M365 from the throne, they need to tie their pants well. Alfawise engineers seem to have a strong pants smell because they dared to cut into the challenge!
The Alfawise M1 is spit out Xiaomi based on the pictures, but it doesn’t exactly match the two scooters. The shape, the foldability, the placement of the battery are the same. It has a bright LED light on the front and a red light on the rear wheel fender that flashes to warn those around us when braking. Here, too, the braking system is quasi-dual-circuit, ie the rear wheel has a disc brake, which according to the factory data includes some kind of ABS solution, while the front wheel converts kinetic energy into electric current while rolling, thus braking the front wheel. The advantage of Alfawise is that the indicator built into the steering wheel against Xiaomi also shows the speed, the disadvantage is that there is no phone app for it, so it is not possible to evaluate the roads afterwards. Let’s just say a little maybe superfluous, at least I would deal with it less.
The two scooters are almost the same in other abilities. The Alfawise engine has a rated power of 380 watts and the Xiaomi has 350. The battery pack is 280 Wh, Alfawise know that it uses the LG18650 Li-ion batteries. The distance that can be covered on one charge is 30 Km, the maximum speed is 25 kilometers per hour, the maximum load capacity is 100 kilograms.
As I wrote in the introduction, Alfawise is clearly attacking the M365, but a favorable purchase price is essential for a successful attack. Well, that's not a problem here either, as Alfawise's wheelbarrow is roughly $ 60-90 below the Xiaomi, depending on promotions, which means a price advantage of HUF 18-26 thousand in HUF.
The new Alfawise M1 therefore seems to be a particularly good buy, and can be an ideal urban transport vehicle for beginners but also advanced ones on warmer days.
