Qimonda has finished with GDDR5 samples

A new memory standard for graphics cards is approaching.

While we can witness the dominance of GDDR3 chips and the strength of the GDDR4 standard, Qimonda has completed samples of its future GDDR5 chips. In addition to the increased transmission speed - twice as much as in the case of GDDR3 - of course, more advanced energy management functions compared to previous generations are also part of the GDDR standard, the plans and samples of which are still on the table of JEDEC decision-makers.
