The first 4G / LTE commercial service in Hungary has been launched at T-Mobile

On January 1, T-Mobile was the first in the country to launch its first 4G / LTE-based mobile Internet service. The service has become available in much of the capital with an LTE-enabled device as well as a Net & Roll 4G mobile internet package, for which T-Mobile is now offering a promotional monthly fee discount.

Based on the testers' experience, the 4G / LTE network provides a significantly faster average response time when using Internet applications compared to previous mobile technologies, and web browsing and online gaming provide a similar experience to using wired broadband Internet. In many cases, testers highlighted a significant increase in upload speed as a positive. The experience of the extensive user test is that the usability of the download bandwidth provided by the 4G / LTE network also depends on the performance of the PC or notebook used. If the performance of the user's computer allows continuous playback of HD quality movies, users of the 4G / LTE network can download in real time e.g. content from Youtube or other content providers.

Network development will continue at an intensive pace in 2012 as well.
