Mice and people

We must anticipate that we will not be overly concerned with technology in relation to mice, as the last major shift was the disappearance of ball mice, and it is important to mention the arrival of the laser age in connection with the stem evolution of pieces with optical sensors.

Mice and humans 1

A4Tech mice have largely the same capabilities, at least for pieces in the same category. For this reason, we will also describe these only once, and we will provide a summary table for each mouse, which will include the more interesting abilities. Let’s cut in then, let’s start with the wired mice!

A4Tech X5-60MD

Mice and humans 2

The smallest mouse was assigned to the first victim. Due to the size, we can recommend it in the bag next to most portable machines. In our opinion, these mice are not highly recommended for anything else, as the small size is only an advantage in terms of portability, it does not make it easy to use unless we are two years old, but the chances are small.

Mice and humans 3Behind the X5-60MD type designation lies a fairly simple structure. The light entering the image processing unit comes from a traditional LED, though we see a dual focus label on the bottom of the package, and the accompanying image promises to work on a transparent surface as well. We couldn't stand it, we tried! The result is mixed. It was forgettable on glass, but it worked flawlessly on the cover that protected the translucent table. Not a laser, but really better than plain optical solutions.

There are some extra abilities. One is the four-way scroll, more precisely the scroll can be scrolled up and down, something can be tilted right and left. In addition to the roller, there is another small button on which the manufacturer makes the following note on the packaging: Click once, instead of twice. The bottom line is that by pressing the button, you get a double click, so you save a button press if you want to start a program, say.

Let's see the summary table!

  • Type: A4Tech X5-60MD
  • Sensor: optical, 800 dpi
  • Buttons: 4 pieces (roller 2 directions and click, double click, traditional buttons)
  • Connector type: USB
  • Cable: adjustable length
  • Extras: double click

The next piece is already designed for desktop use. The most important, and at the same time the only difference compared to the previous piece - of course beyond its size - is that we already find laser lighting in this. The manufacturer is proud to announce that it also works on glass, if only because A4Tech uses the sonic GLaser technology in it, which is fundamentally different from traditional laser solutions. We think of this from the fact that we find a figure on the back of one GLaser that says it only works on glass, the other lasers don’t. The test of pudding is eating! 😉

Even now, we couldn’t expose a deceitful conspiracy, it really works on glass as well. It’s true as if there’s some phase lag between moving and moving the mouse pointer, but that fact remains a fact, if we can only mouse through the window, there’s no problem. We hope we are not often forced to do this.

One more important thing! It is no coincidence that the mouse has such a clumsy shape. The packaging proudly advertises that it is an ideal choice for both right and left handed people. I’m a little sorry for poor left-handers because somehow two-handed mice always manage to be such a bumford. No, not at all uncomfortable, just unattractive to the eye. Shovelers are suspected to even love it.

Let's see the table!

  • Type: A4Tech X6-10D
  • Sensor: laser, 1000 dpi
  • Buttons: 4 pieces (roller 2 directions and click, double click, traditional buttons)
  • Connector type: USB
  • Cable: thin
  • Extra abilities: double click, right and left handed

In the A4Tech palette, the X6 mark indicates the presence of GLaser technology, which immediately implies that even this mouse can dream of Dart Vader if you fall asleep deeply. The color also entitles you to this, nice night black. This rodent differs only externally from the brother discussed earlier, although it is bone in terms of abilities. The exterior, on the other hand, has changed in favor. Its two sides have been recessed so a comfortable grip falls on it and doesn’t even slip out of our hands. A few years ago, such a mouse would have been at the top of the player’s offering. The cover and buttons have a non-slip surface, which also gives a pleasant silky touch. The surface of the buttons is slightly deepened, so our finger can find its place immediately.

We don’t understand why this isn’t recommended for left-handers, as the shape is symmetrical.

  • Type: A4Tech X6-60D
  • Sensor: laser, 1000 dpi
  • Buttons: 4 pieces (roller 2 directions and click, double click, traditional buttons)
  • Connector type: USB
  • Cable: thin
  • Extras: double click
