Creative ZEN Vision M and W

Unusually, the offline press was able to learn a few details about Creative’s soon-to-be-released media players, two new members of the ZEN Vision product line.

In one of Maxim’s September issues, Creative is jointly promoting the 30- and 60-gigabyte versions of the Zen Vision M. As we know, only the smaller storage player is currently available, the device with doubled capacity is not yet on the market, neither the price nor the release date is yet known. On the other hand, you can already be sure that nothing but the hard disk has changed, the display remains the same 320 × 240 pixel LCD, and the list of supported formats has not changed. A 60GB HDD is ideally enough to store 30 songs or 240 hours of video.

The Zen Vision W replaces the much-criticized Zen Vision for its display, with a significant increase in diagonal compared to its predecessor, a value that has changed from 3,7 to 4,3 inches. According to Popular Mechanics, the new Creative media player produces excellent picture quality, so it’s likely that you’ve finally managed to get over the pediatrics of the previous series. In addition to the shorter report, the newspaper also announced prices: the 30- and 60-GB devices will cost $ 399 and $ 499, respectively.
