Lite-On: 18 × DVD burner
Lite-On has also officially unveiled its 18 × DVD burner, which will be available for purchase from October.
The LH-18A1P optical drive writes DVD-R and DVD + R media at 18x speed, and thanks to so-called SmartWrite technology, it does so not only quickly, but with outstanding write quality. It reads DVDs up to 16 times and CDs up to 48 times with an access time of 160 ms.
Writing single-layer DVDs is about 1 minute shorter than 16 × writers
The write speeds are as follows: 18 × DVD +/- R, 8 × DVD +/- R DL, 8 × DVD + RW, 6 × DVD-RW and 12 × DVD-RAM, and CD-R 48 × and CD-RW 32 ×.
