Computex 2008: ASUS has officially unveiled its new Eee PC

ASUS has pulled the cover off the new Eee PCs.

Az Eee PC 901 by definition, the logical enhancement of the 900 model, though, offers almost the same as its predecessor, except for the very important, not least negligible, factor that it now employs an Intel Atom Z530 processor. Browsing through the product features, we can't find any more changes: 8,9-inch LCD, 1 GB DDR2 memory, 12 (Windows XP) or 20 GB SSD (Linux) are still responsible for data storage, the webcam is 1,3 megapixels, the wireless communication, data transfer via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Blessed with a 10-inch LCD, the 1000 and 1000 (H) Eee PCs feature the same single-core Intel Atom as the Eee PC 901, but these models have doubled the amount of RAM and offer more data storage than their little siblings. The Eee PC 1000 Your 40GB SSD comes with a preinstalled Linux operating system, while Eee PC 1000 (H), an 80 GB HDD is hidden in the "interior", but here we get more freedom, since this netbook can also be ordered with Windows XP or Linux OS.

The ASUS Eee PC 901 549 and the 1000 and 1000 (H) models can be taken home for $ 625-650.
