CeBIT 2008: OCZ Vendetta 2

A larger fan has been added to the manufacturer’s CPU cooler, famous for its V-shaped ribs.

Not even half a year has passed since OCZ introduced its refrigerator called Vendetta, the successor is already showing itself in Hanover. The novelty, christened the Vendetta 2, carries little innovation, so the engineers were with it, there was no need for change if the system worked well.

We absolutely agree with them, as the sole mentioned by Xigmatek's invention and the special lamella arrangement have provided excellent heat dissipation performance so far. The only major change without redesign could have been the replacement of the fan, which was eventually taken at OCZ. On the Model 2, it already does a 120mm air agitator, which delivers exactly the same amount of air mass as a tenth of its predecessor's data, a bit quieter. The propeller can operate in the speed range of 800 to 1500 rpm, controlled along a 4-pin PWM connection. In the worst case, the fan exceeds 2 by only 30 dB, in quiet mode we can expect around 20 dB.
