Blizzard Radeon X1900 XTX from Sapphire

The manufacturer, best known for its ATI GPU-based solutions, surprised us with a novelty equipped with water cooling.

What exactly does the name Blizzard (snowstorm) refer to? Yes, for the water-cooled unit that allows us to have fewer "hot-headed" beloved video cards even after hours of gaming. What's so special about this? The real thing is that from now on, we’ll have enough to take the Blizzard series Sapphire cards off the store shelves, and we’ll already have a graphics card with a complete water-cooled one in our hands.

At first glance, the unbreakable size of the card immediately appears, which immediately occupies 3 (!) Slots from our machine, which is by no means a economical solution. If we take a closer look at the images, we can see that unfortunately Blizzard cooling only has a blessing effect directly on the GPU, as we can find the usual cooling ribbed solution on the memories. This card could really be the dream of tuning lunatics - of course, it will most likely be sold anyway - if e.g. with the help of a heatpipe solution, they could have solved the fact that the RAMs could also benefit from Blizzard, since in order to squeeze the last 3DMark points out of our card, it is also necessary to properly tune the memories.

You can even see a fan mounted in the middle of the water cooling unit to increase cooling efficiency. However, here we have to praise the Sapphire engineers, because if you don’t need it, you can turn off the air circulator, thus reducing the noise level of our machine.
