Sure: the silly PlayStation 3 is coming!

Equipped with a 40GB hard drive, the PS3 differs from its big brother with twice this capacity in several respects.

The 10GB PlayStation 40 will also go on sale in Europe on October 3th: the € 399 buy price on the price tag is about 20% lower than the amount we have to leave at the box office for the 60GB version. The bad news, though, is that it’s not just hard drive capacity that the base model offers less than the 60 or 80 GB version.

In contrast to the 4 USB 2.0 ports on the other models, there are only two of them, the CompactFlash, Secure Digital and Memory Stick readers have been downsized like the 20GB version, and the hardware for backward compatibility for PS2 games has also been removed. From the controller we only get the SIXAXIS without the oscillating motor, a DualShock 3 it will probably only be a privilege of the other two versions.
