New members of the second generation of the ZBOX family by name: ID80, ID81 and AD04. ZOTAC’s chief marketing officer said there has also been a strong emphasis on user feedback in addition to launching compact, high-definition video playback HTPCs with great energy efficiency. The new ZBOXs are not without the latest innovations such as Bluetooth 3.0. They also come with a remote control.

In the ZOTAC ZBOX ID81, an Intel Celeron 857 processor provides the basis for the configuration. In addition, the integrated Intel HD graphics unit provides visual support.

The ZBOX ID80 comes equipped with the latest energy-efficient Intel Atom D2700 processor, which has been packed with a bit more serious graphics support in the “person” of the NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M. This eliminates the hassle of playing any high-definition video smoothly.

With this, ZOTAC engineers meant users who might stick to AMD or NVIDIA products, as with similar performance, we can choose a configuration with parts from both manufacturers.

By default, the ID81, ID80, and AD04 are also a stripped-down configuration that requires the user to acquire the right amount of memory and storage according to their needs, as these are not part of the package. However, if you choose the ID81-ID80 and AD04 Plus packages, you get 2 gigabytes of system memory and a 320 gigabyte hard drive as part of the specification. The operating system of the configurations can be Microsoft Windows 7 or the free OpenELEC.

Members of the second generation of the ZBOX family have not yet received end-user price tags, but it will certainly be in the public domain in Las Vegas as well.
