ASRock has launched a pair of HTPCs

ASRock has introduced two new compact computers (HTPCs), all built on Intel Calpella’s mobile platform.

The Core 100HT-BD and Core 100HT are exactly the same except for their color and optical drive - the former is a Blu-ray combo drive in black and the latter is a plain DVD burner in white. HTPCs measure 195 mm (width) × 70 mm (height) × 186 mm (depth), which can accommodate an Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 mobile headunit with integrated Intel HD graphics. A total of 8 gigabytes of DDR3 memory can be loaded into the two memory rails. There is a 2,5-inch space for mass storage where an SSD or HDD drive can be placed. HTPCs equipped with USB 3.0 support also include a 7.1 sound card with THX TruStudio Pro support, a Gigabit Ethernet port, 802.11 b / g / n WiFi and HDMI output.
