ASUS has expanded its U notebook series

The model, which targets the more affluent customer base, could hit store shelves in the second quarter.

Equipped with a 15,6-inch LCD display, the novelty has several interesting things: the first, and perhaps the most practical, development is the backlit keyboard, which can be of considerable service in low light conditions. Foam on the cake is that the system is able to operate the backlight automatically as well, making it even more welcome for your convenience. Once again, the heart of the machine is an Intel unit: the Core 2 Duo processor guarantees plenty of performance with minimal power consumption. As a graphics unit, this time I like the GeForce G105M solution, which, while not providing overwhelming speed 3D rendering, can be enough for basic multimedia tasks. An integral part of the machine is a 500 GB hard disk and a sound system from Altec Lansing's workshop; the latter allows you to play multimedia with SRS True Surround.
