Introductory
In quick succession, two smaller scooters were placed on the "test bench" at my place. The last one was a more expensive piece, the current one is one of the cheaper ones, you can buy it for roughly two-thirds of the price of the other one. What is interesting is that there is no difference between them based on paper form. In terms of performance and knowledge, if you only look at the specification, they are the same.
Of course, this is not nearly the case in reality, the 50 percent surplus (150 vs. 100) has visible and tangible effects. Of course, the strange thing would be if they weren't like that.
In this test, I am investigating whether this HUF 50 makes a difference that makes it impossible to buy it yet, or whether it is unnecessary to buy the more expensive one for so much more.

Unpacking, exterior, accessories
The box of the AOVOPRO ES80 is unusually small (1130 x 160 x 540 millimeters). Or if it's not, I've recently been approached by particularly large scooters. I don't know, but I'm sure I was surprised when the courier pressed my hand to say, "Hey, here you go again, a scooter has arrived for you." I was surprised, but the name of the manufacturer and the picture of the scooter were really on the side of the box. so there is no mistake, it is indeed an electric scooter, as the English say.
There is no assembly. Also, only 4 screws need to be screwed in place, they hold the steering horn. These 4 screws already foreshadowed (I'll shoot the joke, basically baseless) that I would definitely encounter a lower quality machine here. It happened that I screwed in two screws and tightened them, so that the holes on the opposite side of the rod did not meet.
Come on, I said, and unscrewed the already wrapped screws almost completely. So, I managed to wrap the ones on the opposite side as well, in the end I screwed in all four slowly, using one side-other side-one side-other side method.
There is no other installation. The manufacturer didn't even put a connector on the cable running in the steering wheel and the steering horn (this is usually the norm), but sent it already assembled, so all I had to do was stuff the excess cable into the tube.
I'll make a note here, pay attention to this if you buy such a vehicle, because I've seen someone manage to pinch the cable and cut it. So just be nice and careful and you'll be fine!
When we're done with that, we take off the protective films from the lights and the "dashboard" and we're good to go. In other words, we will try to take it off, because I couldn't get it from the top of the steering wheel, where the display is. I left it to hell, it's not really bothersome, at least it doesn't scratch. I won't have the scooter anyway, and it will be taken off by whoever gets it in the next round. It's strange though...
I lied, there was still a bit of assembly. This was the first scooter in a long time where I had to reach for the brake more, because I set it at the brake lever on the tension of the bowden. It was also necessary here for the working cylinder. Let's say it's not a big deal, it happens, it's not even complicated, so it fits the category, I wouldn't call it a mistake.
Of course, there aren't many accessories. In a small bag, screws, 3 allen sockets of different sizes, a description, a power supply and that's it. Not much, but just enough, I didn't expect anything extra, after all, it's a cheap scooter. The machine should be good, that's important, the accessories less so.
Then now comes the how it looks part.
Well, I kiss your hand, it looks like a Xiaomi, but not a little, but a lot, to quote a classic. Of course, there are differences, the handlebar lock is different, the rear mudguard, the support, and a lot of other things are different, but Xiaomi is good. I wouldn't say it isn't by a long shot.
You could say that it's a bad thing to knock one Chinese manufacturer off another, but that's just the way it is. It's almost mandatory. If we can't buy Xiaomi anymore, at least ours should look like it. So, the AOVOPRO ES80 is a scooter in the form of "as if it were Xiaomi".
Paper form
Let's quickly run through the capabilities, I'll try to put the specification table into an understandable form.
The AOVOPRO ES80 is an electric scooter with a 36-volt system. The battery capacity is 10,5 Ah and the motor is 350 watts. The size of the wheels is 8,5 inches, they are not balloon, but solid, so they will not come off and we will never get a flat tire.
The manufacturer says that this power and this battery are enough to accelerate to a speed of 25 kilometers per hour, overcome a 20-degree incline (well, that was funny when I read the specification), and go on a charge for 25-35 kilometers. The latter data will not be available, you don't need to be a great math artist for this, you won't get such a distance from 10,5 Ah even if you weigh 20 kilos and go with a tailwind.
What else?
The size of the scooter is 1070 x 1120 x 430 millimeters, the net weight is 12 kilograms. The casing received an IP65 protection against water and dust. We have front and rear lights, the rear also has a brake light that flashes when braking. The drive is at the front wheel, there is an electric brake, and the rear wheel is braked by a disc brake. There is no shock absorption. At the end, one more important piece of information, the maximum load capacity is 120 kilograms.
Application
I left one thing out of the previous list, but it is quite important. This is nothing more than the fact that this cheap scooter has a built-in Bluetooth connector and a phone application. That's the end of it - we can say, since the machine really costs less than a hundred thousand, for that much money it's already something that it works by itself, not to mention that there are also applications and software settings and the like.

the program is surprisingly friendly anyway, and if I wasn't afraid that my phone would shake because of the tubeless tires, I would even install a phone holder, because the speed is much better visible on the phone than on the scooter's display.
Anyway, setting up the program is easy. You download it from the software store that matches your phone and install it. When you start it for the first time, you tap on the Bluetooth icon, it searches for the switched-on scooter via the phone. You choose, you choose and it works!
On the main screen, there is the speedometer, a switch for the cruise control, one for the light, a settings button, a button for software locking the scooter and that's it. Among the settings, the more interesting things are enabling the cruise control, setting the sensitivity of the brake and gas damage, and setting the speed limit. The latter has a base speed of 25 km/h, but can be increased to 60 km/h. Of course, it won't go 31 in the stinking life, with that much power you can also have a flat eight, that is, infinite speed. We set up and jump into hyperspace after the Millennium Falcon. The manufacturer must have sensed this somewhere, because although XNUMX can be set and saved, somehow it always returns to XNUMX.

If I had to evaluate the application, I would give it a fat four out of 5 points. It knows everything you need, you can find all the functions, everything can be set easily. The design is a bit dusty, to put it mildly, but this is the only point where you can feel that this machine does not belong to the more expensive category. Everything else is perfect!
Experiences
Let's start with the exterior! I like the machine. Of course it's like a Xiaomi, why wouldn't you like it? However, there are small things that indicate that it did not come out of the well-known competitor's workshop. The joints are a bit imprecise here and there, you can find small burrs, I mentioned above the difficulty of screwing the steering horn.
But I have to say that so far these are not moments that have particularly bothered me. They are by no means so rough that I wouldn't buy them for that reason, and they easily fit into the category that can still be used for savings.
Obviously, I cannot say based on a test how long the frame will last, but I know a user who drives around 1000 kilometers and has no problems with the machine, in fact, he loves it. So maybe it won't be a problem here later either.
I'm not even saying that you have to squint to not notice these mistakes. If I had used my user's, not the tester's, eye, I might have missed the little bugs.
So to sum it up, the exterior is good. It is interesting that the trepni we are standing on is surprisingly long. Maybe because of the good design, maybe because the rear fender doesn't take up much space, I don't know, but it was quite comfortable to ride on. There is no problem with the width either, because the width of the trepni is more than enough for a sole that can be placed comfortably behind each other on the two legs.
What really surprised me was that the height of the steering wheel was also perfect for me. The height of the steering wheel cannot be adjusted on these cheaper machines, so we have to make do with what the manufacturer comes up with. However, this is often not enough, or at least a borderline case.
In the case of the AOVOPRO ES80, however, the height is perfect for my 184 cm. I would risk it up to 190 cm.
What is a bit skinny is the width of the steering wheel, but it is not too small either, just the usual size in this category. If you could go fast, if you raced it on unpaved roads, then I would say that this steering wheel size is life-threatening, but since you will only be traveling on good roads and not too fast, there is nothing wrong with it.
Regarding the exterior, I would also like to mention the lights, the first of which has a surprisingly good light, at least compared to its size. The rear one could be a little brighter, let's say, the brake light does not have any positive effect in daylight, as it is essentially invisible.
The throttle is easy to use, we also have a bell, what else do you need? Nothing! Let's stop and try it!
AOVOPRO ES80 is good. Not much, but much more than I deduced from the price. The three modes, i.e. ECO, normal and sport, can be used and are comfortable. The cruise control is fully usable on this scooter, it beeps when it is activated, and you don't even have to hold the throttle in one position for too long to activate it.
Now that I'm writing this, I have to point out that, with the exception of the much more expensive machine in the previous test, the cruise control of the AOVOPRO ES80 is the best among the scooters tested this year.
Theoretically, the top speed in sport mode is over 30 kilometers, but it couldn't move my car that much, the maximum was 25 kilometers per hour. However, it is important to note that since this scooter has no shock absorption and no tube tires, it is only really good to ride a scooter if the quality of the road is good. In such cases, 25 km/h is also good. On the wrong road, however, 10 is a lot.
The enemy of the AOVOPRO ES80 is the mountain. It was driven uphill at a speed of 18-19 kilometers, which is not bad! The interesting thing is that it is much better in terms of consumption if you start the climb with 18 from the start, because it will not slow down from there. If I pressed the gas all the way and held it there, I quickly slowed down to 18-19, so I was exactly at the same speed, I just squeezed the poor guy's eyes out.
Consumption and range. Here, funny results usually occur compared to the factory data. What was given for the AOVOPRO ES80 is 25-35 kilometers. I didn't go that much with him, I used one day for the usual things, going to the city, running errands, recording stills for the video, shopping, so the usual things for me.
I drove 9,4 kilometers that day, when I got home the battery was at 55 percent. It is important to note that I did not go at maximum speed, just comfortably at a speed of 17-18-20 kilometers, but where there were many people only at 10-15. So, as you would in real life on a busier bike path. There was a short section where I pushed the lever to the maximum, and there was approx. 150 meters elevation gain on the road.
In practice, this means that at this comfortable pace, the maximum distance that can be covered is roughly 20 kilometers with a small climb and a passenger weighing close to 100 kilos. If you are lighter than this and/or there is no uphill at all, you can add a few kilometers to this.
In practice, 25 is possible from the factory values, I would rule out 35. It's not bad from a 10,5 Ah battery and a 350 watt motor!
Let's sum it up
The AOVOPRO ES80 is a pleasant vehicle. If the road is good, it's no worse than a piece with shock absorbers and a balloon wheel, but if the road is bad, you'd better not learn how to use it.
What I really liked about it is that it is low-built, so if you run out of gas, you can simply use it as a normal scooter. In the past, a formation lying as an all-terrain scooter sank under me, but it was useless as a normal scooter because I was standing so high on it. So it was big, it was strong, but if it was drained I could push it all the way home. The AOVOPRO ES80 is not, you can easily roll it home with it, if it comes to that.
The application is good, I'm not saying that you can't live without it, but if you already have it, at least it can be used.
I think the top speed is sufficient, and the distance that can be covered is fine. Portability is also good, as it is not too heavy.
The AOVOPRO ES80 is the best budget scooter I've tried so far. I've had one that was this strong, there was one that was lighter, but one that would have been absolutely comfortable even with my normal adult dimensions, and it also offered livable range and performance, and last but not least, they asked for a price of around HUF 90 for it, but it didn't exist.
It is the latter data, the price, that could definitely convince you that it is worth buying.
Who do I recommend it to? Well, for those who know that the road quality is normal where they are going to drive it. For those who don't want to go on a trip to the Buda mountains with it, for those who want to go to work within 10 kilometers with it if they can't charge it during the day. For those who are looking for a cheap running scooter with which they can manage their daily affairs comfortably.
