OCZ is exiting the low-cost memory market

The reputable company no longer wants to manufacture and market low-cost DRAM modules.

OCZ Technologies has announced that it will change its business strategy by ending the distribution of low-cost DRAM modules and will henceforth focus only on the more expensive, high-performance memory modules and the SSD market. There are financial reasons for the decision. These cheaper memories are simply too little revenue for the manufacturer even though they accounted for 70% of turnover. OverClock, i.e. tuned modules, will of course still remain on the market, but exactly when low-priced DRAM modules will disappear is not yet entirely clear.
