NVIDIA has also officially announced the GTX 480M mobile GPU
The data for the new GPU for laptops is promising, apart from its consumption value.
They had already flown up earlier this month news about what NVIDIA’s first DirectX 11 mobile solution will look like. NVIDIA has now officially announced the arrival of the GTX 480M. In terms of GPU design with the MXM 3.0b interface, it “of course” doesn’t follow the desktop GTX 480. Rather, the soon-to-be-introduced GTX 465: 352 850 MHz CUDA cores will serve on board the 425 MHz GPU. The 1 - possibly 2 - GB GDDR5 memory communicates with the GPU on a 256-bit wide interface, clocked at an effective 2400 MHz. then we can expect a value around 40 Watts.
According to NVIDIA, the GTX 480M will be faster than any of its competitors
Like its desktop siblings, the GTX 480M supports DirectX 11, CUDA, PhysX, 3D Vision, and two-way SLI can be deployed in the right system environment. No information has yet been received about the price and exact appearance.
