Nowadays, electronic warfare is an integral part of all military operations, and its application is essential at all levels. Of course, the American army also treats this area with special attention. The Pentagon recently created the Cyber Command, which will be headed by four-star Lt. Gen. Keith Alexander. The backbone of virtual warfare is provided by around 30.000 computer specialists. They will have plenty of work, since the Pentagon's network of 7 million computers is hit by hundreds of thousands of attacks every day, and this number is constantly increasing every year. The time has come to lay down the legal framework for "online operations", because it is not even clear exactly what can be classified as cyberwar.
