What's new at LG at MWC

Two new members of the LG Optimus family will debut at the Mobile World Congress: one is the hitherto unparalleled, glasses-free 3D smartphone, the LG Optimus 3D, and the other is the LG Optimus Pad, which will come to users with the Honeycomb Android operating system.

LG Optimus 3D
With performance in mind, the LG Optimus 3D is endowed with exceptional features such as advanced dual-core, dual-memory and dual-channel architecture. Equipped with a 1 GHz OMAP4 dual-core processor and four times as many video decoders as its competitors, the LG Optimus 3D doubles the graphics performance of its nearest competitor, providing excellent performance while browsing the web, running applications and playing multimedia content. In addition, LG Optimus 3D provides the world's first 3D experience, from capturing and viewing 3D content to sharing it. With its dual-lens camera, you can truly capture any moment in three dimensions, which you can instantly view in 3D on a 4,3-inch WVGA display that doesn’t require glasses. Recordings can be easily transferred to other devices on a variety of channels such as HDMI or DLNA.

LG Optimus Pad
Due to its shape, the LG Optimus with an 8,9-inch screen can be used comfortably with one hand. The 15: 9 aspect ratio, full HD 1080p, 1280 x 768 WXGA resolution, widescreen display offers an immersive multimedia environment. The new device runs Google’s latest platform optimized for tablet devices, Honeycomb, which has an intuitive, PC-like interface to run software. Behind the unmatched performance and excellent power management of the LG tablet is the 2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 1 dual-core processor known from the Optimus 2X. In addition, the LG Optimus Pad is the first tablet with a built-in 3D camera to view images and videos on 3D TV or share them on YouTube 3D.
