ASUS is not lagging behind PCI-Express 3.0 either, and will release an update to its LGA1155 motherboards in time.

The possibility of taking advantage of the new technology is still far away, but the motherboard with the third generation PCI-Express interface has already been used in the repertoire of several manufacturers. Increased bandwidth PCI-Express 3.0 will make real sense with the release of Ivy Bridge in 2012 and the introduction of next-generation state-of-the-art video cards.

In the first wave, ASUS will release three motherboards that already support PCIe 3.0, which are expected to be released in October. All three models build on the Intel Z68 chipset, with the first board debuting as the P8Z68 Deluxe / GEN3, which will be the best equipped. The second will be the P8Z68-V Pro / GEN3, and the lowest equipment will be the P8Z68-V / GEN3. They all use the ASMedia ASM1480 IC control chip, are equipped with a 16-phase DIGI + VRM, and have two PCI-Express × 16 interfaces, which of course allows the use of SLI and CrossFireX. There are four DDR2200 slots with 3 MHz support for RAMs.

All three motherboards have Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, USB 3.0 connectivity and a 7.1 channel sound card. Of course, there is a UEFI BIOS on each, and support for LucidLogix Virtu technology is slowly getting used to.

The pricing of the motherboards from the most equipped Deluxe version to the simple V is as follows: € 229, € 185 and finally we can get it for € 159.
