AsRock has released a new BIOS for owners of H1156M Pro motherboards with an LGA55 enclosure that includes so-called Turbo 100 technology. The former ticks 533 at 767 MHz, while the latter ticks at 1066 MHz instead of 1600. If you don't want this amount of overdrive, but don't want to stick to the default, you can also use the Turbo 70 profile, which applies slightly more modest settings to the system, but can also significantly increase performance. The new BIOS is available in the Intel section of the AsRock forum, and the table is worth running through, as the machine has virtually doubled in speed in Turbo 100 mode, which means a 100% increase in performance, so it’s not a coincidence to name the Turbo 100.
