AMD: Christmas discounts

Advanced Micro Devices is preparing a price cut for the pre-holiday shopping season.

Opteron units mid-October discount following the action, the price of several Athlon 64 and Sempron processors will also drop. Ordinary users are primarily interested in these CPUs, but in terms of news, it’s definitely worth noting that some of the older Socket 940 Opteron server processors will also be available for purchase at a lower price.

The prices in the table for boxed processors are valid until December 31 and are in US dollars excluding VAT.
