AMD has launched its new A10-6790K APU based on Richland architecture.

On October 27, the little brother of the A10-6800K, the 6790K, started. The manufacturer positioned the newcomer under the flagship with minor modifications.

The modifications have been exhausted in reducing the processor frequency. Luckily, the graphics part isn’t affected, so essentially a 100 MHz lower clock 6800K can be our property for a little less money.

The base clock is recorded at 4.1 GHz, which the turbo extends to 4.3 GHz if the system needs it. The “K” mark includes the multiplier lock exemption, so we can take advantage of the series ’very popular tuning capabilities. Part of the APU is a Radeon 8670D graphics core with 384 computing units and a base clock of 844 MHz. Even the big brother of the processor supports the 1866 MHz memory clock.

The APU was priced at $ 120 by AMD. Thus approx. 10% cheaper than its big brother A10-6800K.
