Can Richland come after the Trinity APU?

Most importantly, Richland has a good chance of being thrown into FM2 socket motherboards.

AMD plans to essentially replace the Trinity APU with Kaveri, but even before that, the 28nm Richland may arrive, which, like its predecessor, uses the FM2 enclosure. The products are expected to be available in dual- and quad-core versions, and consumption here may remain below 100 watts. Fudzilla sources say the Richland APU includes 4 MB of cache and IGP combines the power of a 384 stream processor. We can only start speculating on the expected clocks at the moment, because we do not have reliable news. 

 

In connection with the supported processes and technologies, it is not worth expecting huge fireworks: Dual Graphics, AMD Turbo Core, Blu-ray 3D, AMD – V, UVD 3.2, DirectCompute and OpenCL.
