Lenovo has unveiled its new high-performance ultraportable laptops

The new ThinkPad machines have finally officially arrived.

Not only are they light and thin, but Lenovo’s new ultraportables make wires and connectors unnecessary for the benefit of mobile users. Thanks to Lenovo's development, Ultra Connect II technology, and a built-in antenna, the ThinkPad X61 and X61s have more than 30% higher wireless bandwidth than previous Lenovo ThinkPads. For versatile wireless connectivity, Lenovo also offers options such as WWAN, 802.11n WLAN, gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, or a modem, depending on your model.

The ThinkPad X61s can be operated for more than 12 hours with its eight-cell battery and optional accessory battery, while the ThinkPad X61 and X61 TabletPC can operate for 11 and 10 hours, respectively. However, with Lenovo's new BatteryStretch feature, users can extend battery life by up to 15 percent by temporarily disabling certain features of the machine using Power Manager ThinkVantage software. These laptops offer users top performance through Intel Centrino Pro mobile technology.

Lenovo machines are protected by a hard disk with a 32-bit password and optional I / O ports. The new password protection, combined with the integrated fingerprint reader, allows users to use long and complex passwords to protect their data without having to memorize or type them in a public place. By disabling the I / O port, any unused ports can be deactivated from the CD / DVD drive via USB to Firewire, preventing information from escaping the machine and unauthorized access due to password protection. In the field of information security, a key issue in today's business world, these developments that enable user management are very significant.

The ThinkPad X61 Tablet PC brings a new color to your computer by making the transition from paper and pen uniquely intuitive and user-friendly. Thanks to SuperView technology, the SXGA + resolution monitor is less reflective than other similar panels, making it excellent to read even in direct sunlight. It also protects the display from scratches and makes the device extremely durable even in special conditions. In addition, users with Microsoft Windows Vista can teach the machine to recognize their handwriting, navigate with simple pen strokes, and even use their fingers as cursors.

With Intel Core 2 Duo low-voltage processor technology and Lenovo’s latest enhancements, such as Active Rotate dynamic screen rotation or the MultiView and MultiTouch display on select models, the X61 has become Lenovo’s best-performing tablet PC to date.
