Need a power supply more than 750 watts with the HD 2900XT?

According to Fudzilla, this will be required as recommended by AMD.

According to the news, AMD recommends using a power supply with a power of over 750 watts in addition to its new video card. The problem is that you need to use both power connectors on the card for normal operation. This means a double row of four pins in addition to the usual two three-pin pins. This is only a problem because there is currently no power supply available that has such a connector. It is to be expected, of course, that we will receive a converter cable for ATI cards, as without this we would not be able to use our new acquisition.

For our part, we would add that although we agree with the second part of the news, we are far from certain in the first (750 watts). Fudzilla news is not always well-founded information, perhaps even less so than the writings of the Inquirer hitherto proclaimed gossip maker, so they should continue to be treated with strong caution.
