Many of the truly advanced drones that are still the market leader today appeared at the end of last year. Such was the case with the DJI Mavick Pro, which was almost in vogue with its foldable arms. True, it wasn't the drone that used this solution, there was Karma, for example. Nowadays, cheaper models have also been given the capabilities that make flying much easier. GPS-based positioning, altitude keeping, one-button down and take-off and tracking. In addition to the advanced capabilities, the cameras are also getting better, no longer a FHD camera is a surprise, but HD has almost become a must.

From drones made for small, indoor use to pieces with a range of many kilometers and more advanced flight assistance functions, all the best pieces for amateur or semi-professional use can be found for 300, but cheap, yet easy-to-drive pieces are available for 60 forints.

VR goggles

VR goggles flooded the market last Christmas. I think that was a breakthrough, a lot of people tasted the VR experience on the phone. By the end of this year, we could also see ever lower prices in the market for more advanced devices. Equipped with its own display, gyroscope, compass, and other sensors, computer-connected eyeglasses are slowly no longer a luxury, especially as more and more emerging Chinese companies see potential in them. Next year comes the blended reality of Microsoft, the machines built into the backpack are coming, with which we will be able to enjoy a freedom in the virtual worlds that we could not have dreamed of a few years ago. In the meantime, you can invest in glasses now!

External batteries

The popularity of mobiles is not declining. We can use our phones in more and more diverse areas. Because of this, we are making more and more demands on mobiles. Be strong, hold your breath for a long time, but don’t be thick and unmanageable. You see, here now I want to target that battery technology is having a hard time keeping up with our needs, which is why no matter how big batteries are being built into phones, even though processors and Android are becoming more frugal, if the CPU has to spin, the battery will run out soon . Fortunately, nowadays we can get external batteries at a pretty ridiculous price, but if we are really frugal, we can also buy battery cases and batteries separately, so we can put together the external energy package we need.

The self is eternal, now it always stays with us. Young people, or even older people, ringing their phones on the street, Japanese tourists pointing behind their backs, babes giggling on the phone, have now become part of our lives. Of course, manufacturers are watching what demand will be and trying to cater to emerging needs. For this reason, an increasing number of remote-controlled selfie sticks have appeared this year, on which a Bluetotth connection already helps to take pictures. But there are also weirder structures than this, such as the selfie beautification lamp, which conjures up professional light next to the front camera.

Smart scales

There are quite a few of these, too, I wrote an article about Xiaomi’s balance sheet in another blog. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you how accurately these scales measure, but they certainly have capabilities that we’ve paid a heavy tens of thousands for so far. They also measure bone density, the ratio of body fat, muscle mass, the amount of visceral fat, and of course, the water content of our body is not left out either. Then, of course, body weight is also measured, but it might also be natural from a scale. Their complex operation is aided by mobile programs that allow us to log the results of measurements, thus controlling our weight loss.

We can also buy smart watches for years, but this year the prices have dropped so much, some strong iron cost some watches that we couldn’t even think of 1-2 years ago. Nowadays, even among cheap Chinese Android watches, it’s not surprising to find 2GB of memory and 16GB of storage per hour, just as we won’t be surprised even if they have a quad-core processor. In addition to general watches for everyday use, advanced sports aids have also appeared. These usually don’t look as good as the average smartwatch, but they also have a GPS connection and barometer in return, but we get a thermometer, compass, heart rate monitor and pedometer, and in fact, from the movement of our arms, these watches already figure out that we’re running, we cycle or say basketball and adjust the calorie burn measurement accordingly.

Smart lights

At the end, I left another smart device, more precisely devices, smart lights. I’ll be honest, I’ve been eyeing various smart home solutions for years, but so far I haven’t been able to get myself to give money for them. This year, however, I have already invested in a smart lamp and a smart lamp, and in fact, there is another smart room somewhere on the way. I think these structures are finally really meaningful to use, and since I got more and more I’ve been looking at related tools that make it easy to use light sources. So wisdom can be a tool that brings a breakthrough to many of us, many of us experience the convenience of using modern tools through them.
