2011-2012 EISA Awards - Video Awards
The editors of the member magazines of the European Image and Sound Association (EISA) meet every year to choose the best, most exciting products of the period after a multi-day consultation. The awards are decided by a panel of independent experts made up of editors from more than 20 leading magazines in 50 countries. The awards recognize advanced technology and features, as well as product design that represents real value, but EISA only considers its own considerations when making decisions.

Camcorder of the Year 2011-2012 - Canon LEGRIA HF M41
This form is a comfortably compact high-end video camera, suitable for both photography and video recording, in all conditions. The camera has an LCD display and a traditional viewfinder, its menu system is easy to navigate, and a number of automatic and manual functions are available, including manual voice recording and an external stereo microphone connection. This in itself provides an advantage over users of active systems. Passive glasses are fluffy, relatively inexpensive, and don’t even require power, so they’re the easiest way to watch 3D movies, family screenings, or watching sporting events together. Philips has taken a huge step forward with the introduction of the sleek 46PFL9706, winning the best 3D television position on the market. Left-to-right crosstalk, a critical feature of an active 3D image, is almost barely noticeable, and 3D image depth can be fine-tuned. Image quality has improved, reaching the best possible level without losing its natural effect. Disturbing screen mirroring, thanks to the use of an effective “Moth Eye” filter, has been radically reduced, all without losing black detail. Motion compensation is the best in its category and its price is very attractive compared to a high-end TV.
Best TV Reception in Europe 2011-2012 - Samsung UE40D6500
The SamsungUE40D6510 offers the best features in its category: quality and design at an impressive price. It has 3D and DLNA connectivity, as well as WLAN and Smart TV access, which opens up a new world for online entertainment sources, as well as Skype and social media services. Its image quality is very good compared to its rating, it is suitable for watching both 2D and 3D programs.
