Europe Desktop Speaker 2011-2012 - Bowers & Wilkins MM-1

Turn your PC into a hi-fi system by adding a dynamic active speaker system! Bowers & Wilkins MM1 speakers are the best choice if you want to play or work on your computer! The speakers are housed in an elaborately machined black grid-fronted housing covered with aluminum plates, yet this minimal design has a high-class look. This stunning pair of two-way speaker systems is just 17 inches tall, but also includes a DSP-controlled subwoofer and tweeter in this small size, as well as a built-in DAC. A stylish remote control and USB connection, as well as a 3,5 mm jack, complete the system. The speaker pair is not cheap, but its sound quality easily justifies our cost.

2011-2012 EISA Recognitions - Audio Awards 3European Home Cinema Universal Player 2011-2012 - Cambridge Audio Azur 751BD

Love at first sight! Even for the second! We can’t go wrong with the Cambridge 751BD universal player, which is a complex platform for playing CDs, DVDs, SACDs, DVDs and BDs, including providing 3D capabilities, for just € 1300. The processor can decode all Dolby and DTS HD audio formats, while the built-in QDEO upscaling system also provides us with a particularly high quality picture on the HDMI output. The 751 BD receives a number of other connected units. It is also capable of Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, and allows you to play HD audio and video content via its eSata connector, be it FLAC or MKV files from an external hard drive. The 7.1-channel audio system is powered by a self-developed circuit that has already been tried and tested in the Cambridge 6 Series, helping to create excellent picture and sound quality.

2011-2012 EISA Recognitions - Audio Awards 4European Audio Design Product 2011-2012 - DALI FAZON F5

If you think the speaker is a rectangular wooden box, Dali’s stylish Fazon 5 will surely make you rethink the former.
Danish speaker specialist Dali uses cast aluminum instead of wood to create his ultra-novel and elegantly shaped speakers. The shape and visual world are not only pleasing to the eye! In addition to high stability and rigidity, curved surfaces also serve to minimize internal reflections. The Fazon 5 isn’t just about pretty looks. In the speakers, Dali uses its already well-proven paper-based speakers and tweeters with a lightweight dome. The speakers are available in bright black, white and red. In the stand of the 80 cm high work of art, even the cables remain hidden from view.

2011-2012 EISA Recognitions - Audio Awards 5Speaker of Europe 2011-2012 - JBL Studio 190

The JBL Studio190’s “Weave” design is sure to make it easy to stand out from its peers. This three-way speaker, which also includes a 165mm subwoofer, delivers accurate, precise sound reproduction and has a very wide dynamic range. It provides this in full in both music and film sounds. In addition to the exotic-looking, low-power Studio 190, the Studio is an entry-level market for amplifiers and AV receivers.
I wonder how JBL can give so many speakers for such a small price.

2011-2012 EISA Recognitions - Audio Awards 6Europe Video Projector 2011-2012 - JVC DLA-X7

To fully immerse ourselves in the world of 3D, we also need the large image size provided to us by the JVC DLA-X7 projector. It is the first projector to be THX 3D-rated, has a native contrast ratio of 70000: 1, and boasts a significant 1300 ANSI lumens of brightness. JVC has also designed its own active 3D glasses for the projector, which allows the use of a wider-than-traditional screen. Another advantage is on-screen gamma correction and a very accurate calibration option with the Color Management System. The HQV Reon-VX video processor allows you to play all kinds of video material.
In a word, we will have a hundred eye-catching 2D / 3D experience!

2011-2012 EISA Recognitions - Audio Awards 7Europe 5.1 Speaker System 2011-2012 - KEF T205

In the competition to produce the thinnest home cinema speakers, KEF is at the forefront with its total 3,7-inch-thick black T-Series. These speakers are multi-layered, traditional system, very rigid devices. They give the pleasant impression of being mounted on a wall, but can also be placed in a standing design and, when operated together with their subwoofer, are seamlessly integrated into a single home cinema system that requires only fine adjustment from the user to achieve perfect sound. The subwoofer comes with a 250 W Class D amplifier that, thanks to its sleek design, can be boldly placed next to both the side and opposite walls.
The KEF T-Series is a pretty slim delicacy.

This year, EISA has paired two LG products that we believe complement each other and provide a market for a new home theater band. The LG 55LW650S TV uses passive 3D technology. This in itself provides an advantage over users of active systems. Passive glasses are fluffy, relatively inexpensive, and don’t even require power, so they’re the easiest way to watch 3D movies, family screenings, or watching sporting events together. However, comfort is not the only reason the choice fell on the 55LW650S. The 3D image display of the device is very true to nature, there is little crosstalk between the pages, so we can watch blu-ray discs or TV shows in very high quality without eye strain. The device is very easy to set up and can easily be combined with the LG HLX56 soundbar, which also has a built-in BD player. The ability to connect easily and LG Smart TV features complete the success that provided this award.

If you want a unique, stylish home theater system, you don’t have to rob a bank! The LG HX966TZ 3D Blu-ray player's 5.1 channel system is easy to set up thanks to its wireless rear speakers (for TZW), which is just the beginning of many good things!

The device is also capable of establishing a wireless connection using the Wi-Fi Direct system. The USB input can also accept NTFS formatted HDDs, as well as iPod and iPhone docking stations.
Although the market is full of complex home theater systems, the LG HX966TZ offers a truly user-friendly surround experience.

What is CLiC? If we wanted to describe exactly what it is, a digital preamplifier or a streamer, it would be difficult to decide. It’s better to think it’s a mixture of both designed to listen to Internet radios and music files from a variety of sources, including signals from a cable, wireless, or USB flash drive, CD player, or external analog source. The main thing is that CLiC uses the company’s M1 24-bit 192 KHz DAC for these purposes. The functions can be operated using a menu that appears on a large color display. The device boasts 7 digital inputs, including iPod / iPhone / iPad, network, front and back USB, two coaxial and one optical inputs, from which the device provides wonderfully open and dynamically live sound for sound files. beyond the capabilities of its category.
