2 years of Opera-Google friendship

Under the agreement, Google will certainly remain Opera’s default search engine for two years.

We previously reported that under an older agreement, Google will remain part of Opera’s user interface until March 2012, 31. The two companies then decided on a 1-month extension, but it was revealed yesterday that they finally managed to reach a longer-term deal. In our opinion, Opera Software has done better with the business. The desktop version of their browser is proving to be an insignificant player - especially compared to the results of Google Chrome - and Opera Mini is carving out about half the size of a slice of cake as Android’s factory browser.
