44 percent growth in the graphics chip market in the first quarter

According to report by market research firm Jon Peddie Research, 2009 percent more graphics chips were shipped compared to the first quarter of 44.

Surprisingly, there was also an 11 percent increase in the first quarter of last year compared to Q2008 1. Of course, Intel still shipped most of the chips, thanks to its IGPs (Integrated Graphics Processor) and Clarkdale integrated graphics, but NVIDIA and AMD also closed a convincing quarter. Intel had revenue of $ 1,761 billion, NVIDIA $ 982 million and AMD $ 409 million. The latter two companies have achieved some growth between integrated and discrete graphics for notebooks, and AMD has also been able to further increase its share of the desktop graphics card segment thanks to its highly successful HD 5000 series.
