2,9mm “thick” 3D OLED TV courtesy of LGLG’s new 31-inch TV will be seen by the general public for the first time at the IFA consumer electronics show starting next week.

LG Electronics wants to dazzle the grand prize winner at the 2010 IFA exhibition in Berlin. In addition to several of its new products, this is the time when the super-thin TV with OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology, which boasts a 31-inch diagonal, will be introduced. According to the manufacturer, the device, with its “thickness” of 2,9 mm, is considered to be the thinnest among its current competitors. The display, which can also display 3D content, will be available on the shelves of German, South Korean and French specialty stores from September. The price of a TV blessed with imposing specifications is still unknown - obviously it will be very high.
