With a cable all over, new Toshiba TVs are coming
Toshiba introduces its latest LED TVs. The L2 and W2 series HD models have a narrow design, are available in medium to large sizes, and the goods are extremely affordable. In addition to the basic connectivity options, both series are also equipped with MHL function, which allows photos and videos stored on technology-enabled mobile phones to be easily displayed on the TV with just a single cable connection.
The Toshiba L2 and W2 series have a minimum diagonal of 32 ″ (81 cm) and a maximum of 50 ″ (127 cm), and are both capable of receiving analogue and digital terrestrial broadcasts. Their design is based on the smaller L1 and W1, matte black base models.
The Toshiba L2 series models come with Full HD (1080p) resolution, 32 ″ (81 cm), 39 ″ (99 cm) and 50 ″ (127 cm). The W2 series is represented by a single model with a size of 32 ″ (81 cm) and a resolution of HD Ready (720p). Each device is equipped with a built-in dual tuner, which is also suitable for receiving analog, digital terrestrial and digital cable broadcasts. The two most commonly used devices (players, recorders, game consoles) can be connected via the two HDMI ports. One of them also supports the MHL standard, which allows us to easily connect standard-compliant mobile phones to the device. By connecting an external drive to the USB port on the side of the TV, you can view the movies and pictures stored on it on the TV. The Toshiba L2 and W2 series TVs are equipped with a Dolby Digital Plus sound system, which reduces interference from compressed audio files.
As the quality of the cameras built into phones increases and the capacity of microSD memory cards increases, more and more people are using their mobile phones as their primary camcorder or camera. It is often a problem to present these videos and photos widely. The solution to this problem is offered by MHL technology. The phone can be connected directly to the TV with a single cable. All members of the L2 and W2 series support the MHL standard.
Toshiba TV models are equipped with an enhanced AMR (Active Motion & Resolution) graphics processing unit, which optimizes picture quality even in cases where fast movements (such as sports broadcasts) would cause blur. This was one of the most problematic features of the LED LCD TV technology used. AMR enhances image quality and results in high image refresh rates.
Toshiba’s L2 and W2 series models will be available in European stores from the end of March 2013.
