Zalman CNPS9500 AM2

Zalman's new (old) processor cooler was also tested.

Although the Zalman rib is new, this novelty only appears in its color and in the fact that it can also be mounted on AMD's new encapsulated processors. The color of the structure changed to silver despite being identical in material to his younger brother, code number 9000.

Zalman CNPS9500 AM2

Let's see the details!

Rail

  • Dimensions: 85 X 112 X 125 mm
  • Weight: 530 g
  • Material: pure copper
  • Heat dissipation area: 3698 square centimeters
  • Thermal conduction: Silent mode 0.16! AC / W, Low-noise mode 0.12! AC / W

Fan

  • Bearing: ball
  • Speed: Silent mode 1350 rpm, Low-noise mode 2600 rpm
  • Noise: Silent mode 18.0dB, Low-noise mode 27.5dB

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Zalman decided it would be a mess to use the cooler only for AM2, so it could be fitted to Socket 754/939/940 AMD processors as well.

Unfortunately, ProClockers testers only used factory cooling against Zalman’s miracle, which is a miracle of miracles, and beat it. This statement is also true for quieter mode up to 3 degrees Celsius, so it already makes sense to replace the factory cooling with the quieter Zalman.
