In this article, I present you the machine of one of Xiaomi’s partners, the Jimmy H8 Pro. Jimmy has been using Xiaomi’s supply chain on some of his machines for years, so we can almost say Xiaomi, too. For this reason, don’t be surprised if you are referred to as Xiaomi Jimmy on some pages, this is not a misrepresentation.
This machine is a middle member of the new vacuum cleaner family and as such (in my opinion) is still one of the most affordable pieces. The price will be there at the end of the article, but don’t jump there yet, take a look at what’s in the package, what the machine knows, and you’ll see right away why it costs approx. four times as much as last week's debut Xiaomi!
Packaging and accessories
The Jimmy H8 Pro booze comes in a big box, I haven’t gotten a standing vacuum cleaner in a cardboard this big. There is also a weight to the package, which can mean two things. Either the machine will be huge or there will be a lot of accessories. I'll shoot the joke, the latter will be the correct answer.
When the lid is opened, the accessories are lined up in an exemplary order, of course everything is packed in such a way that the transport does not leave a mark on the plastic elements.
So the contents of the box are plentiful, which is why it is worth buying. As if it were Christmas, we can unpack the gifts in a row. We get so much that I give a list of things in the box rather than nicely curved sentences. It will run faster!

I had to read twice to see if anything was missing. I think it’s already starting to become clear to everyone what the difference between the entry level (last week’s article) and the top category is. And we are not at the end of things yet!

As I wrote above, Jimmy hasn’t just started manufacturing vacuum cleaners, and I’ll go further, even before the Xiaomis times, the manufacturing company was involved in this, so there’s plenty of experience. From generation to generation, they carve their machines to the right, and although in many cases the change doesn’t show up first, in the end it turns out that the newer one really got better.
The direct predecessor of the machine is the Xiaomi Jimmy JV85, at least in that it was also one below the top. However, the wind of change could not avoid the offspring, so the accessories were also better and more (the predecessor did not have a stand, bendable elbow and flexible tube, for example), but the exterior also changed.
At first glance, we can’t discover too many differences. The side ejection dust container available as Jimmy’s patent remained, of course, it was too good an idea to replace. The charge indicator also remained, only the shape changed slightly. The removable battery is also left, but here we find a difference.
While the battery of the predecessor was crosswise, the Jimmy H8 Pro is already long, which of course is no accident. The manufacturer says that with this small change, he managed to get the center of gravity of the machine somewhere else, so it doesn’t burden our arms and wrists as much as the previous version.
I note that the machine itself does not weigh more than a pound and a half with the battery, so there is no need to be afraid of tearing your arm off.
The machine is controlled by two buttons on the handle. They just fall under your thumb, the thing is comfortable. One button can be used to switch it on and off, the other to adjust the suction power.
The machine in the pictures somehow looks much bigger than in real life. It has become quite compact, really comfortable to use.
The materials used (the plastics) are particularly good, but of course this is not surprising with an expensive machine. I didn’t find burr edges, thin-looking covers anywhere, so it’s suspected that the structure won’t fall to pieces the first time we accidentally overturn it.
Again, the only indicator in the upper category is that a display has been added to the vacuum cleaner. The stuff called the smart LED display shows not only how much charge is left in the battery, but also in what mode we use the vacuum cleaner, what the status of the filter is, and also if something goes wrong. . Of course, there is no error code as with cars, so this is also just an extra feature to have one more.
Not only on the motor part, but also on the accessories, I don’t think you’ll discover a fault. If I really want to hair, there’s a little casting (fitting?) Flaw in the base, but this is really a case of looking for a poop knot, just so I can tie it into something. So everything is perfect as it is.
The two larger heads are motorized, of course, which also has some effect on battery life, but I’ll talk about that later.

So where do I start? Perhaps there that the Xiaomi Jimmy H8 Pro is the most expensive and also the most powerful stationary vacuum cleaner I have ever had. I could only get to know his predecessor briefly, I had no test for that. It was good too, but the H8 Pro got a lot more powerful than the JV85.
Numerically, this means that the suction strength is not less than 25 Pa, which can certainly lift smaller carpets.
For stationary vacuum cleaners, this value is terrible. Just think of the first crumb vacuum cleaners, what a luxury it was, and in retrospect how weak they were. Over the past decades, manufacturers have been able to achieve multiple performances without changing the weight or size of the machines significantly.
As I describe in all articles on similar products, the small size also has the disadvantage of battery life. Manufacturers are trying to put as much battery as possible on the machines, but that can’t be increased indefinitely either, because it would be tiring to use a 3-4 pound stationary vacuum cleaner. So then you have to juggle the numbers and the more suction power to save energy.
Of course, expensive machines like the Jimmy H8 Pro aren’t accidentally expensive, they make the most of the available charge. Although the battery life doesn't seem like much, it's good to know that in the one cheaper category we get 7-8 minutes at maximum suction power, while the Jimmy H8 Pro gives 13 minutes, which will signal 80-100 percent extra time.
I’ll go further, with the predecessor, the Jimmy JV85, the lower suction power was accompanied by a shorter operating time, so it can be seen here that the data is improving from version to version.
At Jimmy, moreover, they tried to cut through the Gordian knot. The engineers said: If we can’t put a bigger battery on the machine then add an external battery charger so the receiver can buy a second battery and charge it separately. And if the one in the machine is empty, you can replace it in one go.
Obviously this isn’t the ideal solution, but so far there’s no better one, no one has been able to come up with a more imaginative thing. So we appreciate this too, because it’s not stupid! Another issue is that if we want to use it, we will be forced to get a second battery as well.
And how to use it?
Well, on Xiaomi's machines (and we can list Jimmy here, too), we've reached the point generations earlier when we could say the user experience is flawless. Another issue is that as new generations come out, we need to realize that it is possible to make more flawless than flawless.
So in short, using the Jimmy H8 Pro is a dream. It’s no coincidence that they ask for a lot for it. Perfection starts at the new storage base, which is able to keep the vacuum cleaner stable when standing. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal either, but I'll tell you why.
In the case of the machines I have visited or used for a long time, the holder was always on the wall. These brackets either had to be drilled or glued. The first case provided a stable hold, but essentially determined forever where the machine would be, there was a chance for a change if we then smoothed the holes in the wall punched by the drill.
The gluing method is better in that you don’t have to drill, but I haven’t come across a strip of glue that wouldn’t have let me go sooner or later (or it didn’t come down with the paint), and then there was no pleasant awakening in the middle of the night when the wardrobe overturned. vacuumed and took with him everything that got in his way.
The sole, on the other hand, is not tied to a place, we can take it where we want. You don’t have to drill, you don’t have to glue it, you just put it down, set it up on the vacuum cleaner, and it stands as if it was concreted in there. This is a very good invention!
If you take it off the holder and start using it, there will just be no fault in it again. The flex tube is a gift. I can reach places with the sub-vacuum where it has been hopeless with any other stationary vacuum cleaner so far.
I can't say anything new about motorcycle heads. I mentioned above that I will cover them more. Well, the motorized head is an awfully good thing, as it delivers larger dirt, cat food and stuff into the suction pipe, essentially multiplying the suction power.
Using this will reduce the battery life (including the 13 minutes described above), but in most cases the ECO mode will be enough to use it, which will allow you to clean for up to 20 minutes on a single charge. So, on one side you lose, on the other side you add even more.
Joining the small size of the machine, I think it is important to mention the smaller motorized suction head, which was invented specifically for upholstered furniture and beds. Using it, less dust, pollen stays in the upholstery and even removes mites, so the Jimmy H8 Pro can be used not only as a stationary vacuum cleaner, crumb vacuum cleaner, but also as a mite vacuum cleaner, and even with a flexible car vacuum cleaner, I was able to vacuum the seats nicely also under.
At the end, I left one of the biggest innovations, the auto suction mode. This point means, as its name suggests, we don’t have to change the suction force manually, it varies depending on what surface we’re vacuuming on.
The idea is good, the workmanship is not the best yet. Arriving on the carpet, the suction power increases, but when we leave the carpet it doesn’t always go back. In addition, it will start up and slow down the engine completely unnecessarily. So the idea is good, but I wouldn’t force that for now, let’s just stick to the well-proven manual control, it’s unnecessary to overcomplicate this thing.
Summary
I've been writing about a stationary vacuum cleaner for so long, but it also just shows what to write about here, there are novelties and interesting things.
But what can I write in summary?
Here, the Jimmy H8 Pro is the middle member of the company’s new series, which has clearly reached the top category. Everything shows that. Abilities, attributes, usage. With such a machine, it is no longer silly to write about a user experience, as in the case of a mobile phone, because here the manufacturer has certainly emphasized this particular experience.
