The equipment of the X58 Eclipse can be said to be lavish. Along with the board, we also get a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme sound card (therefore, there are no audio outputs on the back), the north (Intel X58) and south bridge (ICH10R) are hidden from prying eyes by copper cooling, the third (blue) PCIe 2.0 x16 the D-LED2 display that "enjoys" its proximity displays diagnostic messages, the various expansion cards and the graphic controller(s) can be "homed" in one of the 3 PCI Express 2.0 x16, 2 PCIe x1 or 2 PCI slots. In accordance with the "unwritten rules" of the X58 cards, the Eclipse also has six memory slots into which 1333 MHz DDR3 modules can be inserted. The device management also satisfies all needs, thanks to the JMicron controller, the board can handle up to 10 pieces of SATA-II hardware. Let's not forget about the "lonely" PATA connector that manages a maximum of 2 IDE devices, and on the back there are 8 USB 2.0, 2 eSATA, 1 FireWire and 2 LAN ports.
