Intel is adding virtualization to its five processors

One quad-core and four dual-core get the technology.

According to the announcement, Intel will retrofit five processors with its virtualization technology (Intel VT): the Core 2 Quad Q8300, Core 2 Duo E7500 and Core 2 Duo E7400, and the Pentium Dual-Core E5400 and Pentium Dual- Core E5300 models come into possession of this capability. Distribution of the VT-expanded versions will begin on June 12th. The newly acquired knowledge will only become available after a BIOS update.
