The price of all Xbox 360 packages has been reduced by Microsoft
There has been a significant reduction in the recommended retail price of the Xbox 360, be it the Elite, Arcade or just the Pro version.
The recommended retail price for the Elite and Pro packages has been reduced by $ 50 and for the Arcade by around $ 100, with the following prices valid from September 5:
- Xbox 360 Arcade (256 MB memory card, no HDD): $ 199
- Xbox 360 Pro (60GB hard drive): $ 299
- Xbox 360 Elite (120 GB hard drive): $ 399
The interesting thing about the price cut is that it is thanks to Microsoft that Xbox 360 Arcade is the only one in the price range below $ 200, with the Nintendo Wii offering a suggested retail price of $ 249 and the cheapest Sony PlayStation 3 at $ 399.
