His appearance was surrounded by plenty of rumors, but fortunately the most interesting detail was not true.

We also complained a lot about the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, as one picture showed that it got a silly-shaped display similar to the iPhone X. We wrote that we hope the news is not true because we can’t imagine Xiaomi copying Apple’s phone this way.

Well, in the meantime, it turns out that the display will have a completely traditional shape, so the MIX 2S will simply be an awfully strong and very nice phone like its predecessor. Under the hood, the most powerful Qualcomm chip introduced at the end of last year, the Snapdragon 845, is working, and next to it we will find 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage.

We now know a lot more about the new phone, such as its official launch on March 27th. In addition, we got a screenshot to make sure the Snapdragon 845 was really working on it. Additional elements of the hardware were also confirmed, in addition, we learned that the display is 6,01 inches and has a resolution of FHD +, i.e. 2160 x 1080 pixels. The phone has a 4400 mAh battery, which is expected to have no problem with battery life of 1 and a half days even under normal use. We also got an Antutu score. The phone received 273 points in the popular test program, which is quite an amazing performance.

What can we say in summary? We think the MIX 2 has become a great phone, but the hardware has left a very tiny bad taste in our mouths. The MIX 2S improves on this, not a little. Which is still a question of what the camera will look like. Now we know that there will be a piece of 16 megapixel sensor on the back. The MIX 2S is sure to be something worse than the next flagship, the Mi 7, and it is suspected that this point will be the camera.
