VideoLAN, the developer of the VLC media player, announced that it had reached 1 billion downloads. The team thanked the users on this occasion.

VLC Media Player is a free, open source media player and framework program developed within the framework of the VideoLAN project. The popularity of the program is remarkably characterized by the fact that it has now been downloaded from the official website more than 1 billion times. Some excitement is glad that this number is inaccurate according to VideoLAN.
