Philips has introduced a universal remote control

The Philips Prestigio SRT9320 comes with a touch-sensitive display on store shelves.

The biggest attraction of the novelty is the 2,8-inch touch-sensitive display, which makes it easier and faster than ever to control the electronic devices in our household. Thanks to the use of the display, the positive side effect is that the size of the remote control does not exceed an average model, while it has an order of magnitude wider knowledge: the manufacturer claims that the device can be used to control nearly 300 different devices. A significant added convenience is that profiles can be linked to our activities, so for example, we can turn on our television, DVD player, and entire home theater system at the touch of a button. To make the product easier to use on a daily basis, Philips engineers have come up with other practices: among the little things to mention are a customizable menu system and a docking station that can also be used to recharge batteries.

All of this is nice and good, dear Philips, but where does the opportunity for an online upgrade from the Logitech Harmony series stay?
