The Fusion APU is reaching another peak

The Fusion APU is reaching another peakLlano is breaking new ground! And the Black Edition mark will be replaced.

With the release of the AMD Fusion APU series for desktops, a new peak, Llano, is coming. The A8-3870K processor raises 100 MHz to the previous king, reaching the 3 GHz limit, all other specifications remain the same, it has 4 MB of L2 cache, its HD 6550D IGP contains 400 cores, which is 600 MHz works on. Memory management is also the same and the TDP doesn’t change either, which is still 100 W. However, eye-catchers may have noticed the suffix K, and what does that mean? The possibility of multiplier-lock-free tuning, which has so far been marked with the suffix AMD BE, i.e. Black Editin. This is changing here, and the K introduced by Intel will henceforth also be on behalf of AMD processors, probably for purely marketting reasons.

In the table below you can see the full expected and already available Llano, we can see that not only the top A8-3870K will get the K suffix, but also the A6-3670K will come multiplier free in the fourth quarter. Also, every different Llano released in the first round gets a little blood update in 100 MHz in person with +20 suffixes, meaning it comes in A8-3820, A6-3620 and A4-3420.

It should be mentioned that an expected new chipset called AMD A85FX has also appeared, but we do not have any fixed information about this and do not expect it this year. For now, the AMD A75 and AMD A55 will remain.
