TV2 launches a new channel

Within the framework of a long-term strategic plan, the TV2 Group is carrying out large-scale development, renewing and expanding its cable portfolio with another channel. FEM3 and PRO4 will strengthen with new program blocks and self-produced content, and the premium channel called SuperTV2 will be launched in the autumn.
tv On the part of the international media company, the aim of the largest investment in the Hungarian market in the recent period is to strengthen the TV4 Group's market position within the framework of a 2-year plan, along a new strategy.

The change in strategy serves the long-term stability of the TV2 Group and the possibility of exploiting distribution revenues. At the same time, it proves the owners' satisfaction with the TV2 Group's viewership results for the past six months and the efficiency of program spending. The investment clearly shows ProSiebenSat.1's commitment to the domestic subsidiary and the fact that they see significant potential in the domestic market and in the TV2 brand, said Simon Zsolt, CEO of TV2.

In addition to the first element of the development plan, FEM2010, which was launched in 3 and is aimed primarily at women, and the PRO2011, which is launched in 4 and is aimed at men, the third is a general entertainment channel offering premium content. Launched in the fall of 2012, the TV station, called SuperTV2, awaits viewers with high-budget, self-produced shows, premieres and series. In addition to these, in line with current TV trends, the expansion of the brands already known on TV2 will also be shown on the new channel, and some programs will be screened before TV2's premiere.

An important part of the investment is that both TV2 and SuperTV2 will broadcast in HD quality from the autumn.
