New ASUS N notebooks: our multimedia eye-to-mouth stimulus
The fresh N45SF, N55SF and N75SF feature a special look and feel as well as speed.
The renewed look was dreamed up by the design team of David Lewis, but we can keep the evidence in our hands, we can bring something good out of dark dreams, we can’t complain about metal and black cladding, at most we have to get used to it a bit. The SonicMaster set, which even comes with an external subwoofer, is responsible for the sound, ie the better sound of movies and music, so maybe you can forget those awful box sounds or crackling in action scenes. The line of extras is not over yet, as thanks to the InstantOn function we can continue working in 2 seconds, but we do not have to worry even if for some reason we do not have time for this, as the battery is still on standby for 15 days. Nowadays, it is not uncommon to charge almost all of our technical gadgets via USB, but we leave the machine turned on for this, sometimes unnecessarily. This is eliminated by the USB Charger +, with the self-powered connector you can charge even when the computer is switched off.
However, one of our favorite manufacturers also promises high speed, let’s see how they achieve this. Of course, second-generation Core i3 / i5 / i7 CPUs and Sandy Bridge are present, as with any 2011 laptop for something, we can request a maximum of 8GB of memory. The GeForce 1M with 2/555 GB of memory is responsible for the graphics, but thanks to Optimus technology, we can also use the integrated solution if energy saving is more important than performance. At the same time, we also need the power, as the 15,6 and 17,3-inch models also feature a FullHD resolution display, thankfully with a matte finish. It can be a wallet-friendly solution with the same image diagonal, the 1600 × 900 pixel resolution layout, but the 15,6 ″ display also has a 1366 × 768 layout, although this is already bright, as is the 14-inch version. We don't miss out on the usual accessories, we also get USB 3.0, HD webcam, microphone, card reader, Kensington lock and HDMI 1.4 connector. ASUS N notebooks come with a 6-cell battery, we don't know about goods yet.
