A new mid-range phone from Vernee's workshop
This is the third novelty we have learned from MWC 2018.
Vernee seems to have emerged from various device classes, hopefully they will soon focus on quantity and quality.
After the top-of-the-line device Apollo 2 and the rugged phone V2, the M5 is now here, which according to preliminary news will be a lower-mid-range phone, rather a mid-range phone in Vernee's range. The display aspect ratio is 18:9, the expected resolution is FHD+, based on the images, we guess the image diagonal is 6 inches. Although the information so far only mentions an eight-core processor, it is almost certain that the MediaTek Helio P23 will be the central unit. The memory is "only" 4 GB, we have not yet received information about the backup storage, but it will probably have a capacity of 64 GB. What was highlighted in the announcement video was the thin and rounded device housing, which in this case means only 6,9 millimeters.
