Introductory
Sometime 6-8 years ago, I first marveled at pocket bulls. I don't even know when these first appeared on the market, but at the time, the love of my life was working for an Austrian battery manufacturer and he told me that the carriers love it like sugar, because with a relatively small device you can start the cars in a pinch if you poop yourself their battery.
I looked at one of these, it really wasn't big, it was a smaller bag size. It wasn't too heavy, although I wouldn't have liked to carry it all day. In any case, I liked the thing, although the price was not so good anymore, I also booked that it will be needed by those who use it industrially, transporters, ambulances, etc.
Then, of course, as the years went by, pocket bulls became smaller and cheaper. By now we have come to the point that I have it too, so when e.g. I go on a longer motorcycle trip, so there is always a pocket bull in one of the boxes, and of course I always have a small compressor with me to inflate the wheel. So for me, these have become mandatory accessories.
I would like to note that there was already a precedent that we needed the pocket bull to get home with the children, who were 2-3 years old at the time, so it was good that we didn't have to wait for an ambulance.
In this article, I will introduce you to a pocket bull. Not a special structure, maybe just a little cheaper, but full value of course. Let's get into it!
Box, accessories and exterior
The product comes in a simple black box, with a large CAR JUMP STARTER inscription on the top, so that we know what to take off the shelf. Below are some important data that can help you choose. At the bottom of the box there are some instructions for use, such as: Pay attention to the correct connection, Make sure the charge is at least 75 percent if you use it for starting, take off the heels when the car starts, etc.
In the box, we find the device on a plastic tray, and the accessories are waiting for us underneath. There is a brief description, a USB cable for charging, a cable with two alligator clips for starting, and another cable with an egx standard cigarette lighter socket on the end. The latter is perhaps the only one I can mention as an extra, it is a rare bird among accessories for jump starters.
The device itself is not very interesting either. We receive an 8,5 x 15,5 x 3 centimeter, 350 gram black box with red plastic inserts on both sides. Based on the pictures, the surface looks like a rubber coating, but it is not, but rather hard plastic. This has no effect on usability, just don't throw it away, you'll be fine.
The power button is on the front and above, and four LEDs above it indicate the charge level. Three of these need to light up in order to be able to supply enough current at start-up. On the top edge, we find the flashlight, next to it, under a rubber cover, is the USB connector for charging, a USB A for external devices, and of course the connector to which we connect the cable with the crocodile clip and the cigarette lighter socket is also here.

Well, as I wrote, this is a device that I can't point to anything interesting apart from its price, it does exactly what it needs, nothing more, nothing less.
Let's start with the most important, the battery. The device has a 13 mAh capacity pack, which of course can be used not only for starting, but also as an external battery, so you can use it to charge a phone or anything that can be charged via USB.
Let's say that the capacity of the battery is perhaps not the most important data for a pocket bull, but how much current it can deliver, because it depends on how many cubic centimeters it can handle. There is obviously no direct proportionality here, just that if the current was small, the starter would not be able to turn the motor over.
Well, in the case of the TUERRB J01, there is no problem with the current, we can't complain about that, since the manufacturer says that it can output up to 1200 amperes (the normal starting current is 500 amperes), which means that it can be used for gasoline vehicles 6000 - for diesel vehicles 5000 to the cubic centimeter.
The difference in cubic centimeter obviously varies due to the difference in the operating principle of the engines, but I think we can agree that it can serve a very large majority of passenger cars with the specified capacity.
I note here that the product cannot be used for 12-volt, i.e. 24-volt systems (trucks, for example).
Let's go on! The TUERRB J01 can be used in the range between minus 20 and plus 70 degrees, its protection against water and dust is IP66, which means that the rain can't harm it, but we can't do anything with it underwater. So you don't want to use it for wrecked submarines!
They also packed a lot of protection, so it has protection technologies against short circuit, reverse polarity, over current, overload, low voltage, over voltage, overload and overheating.
What's missing is the flashlight, which of course can not only light up smoothly, but also flashes and gives an SOS signal, so that's the usual thing.
Test
Well, it was actually just a test because my car has a fresh battery, so I couldn't try it with that. I have a dead battery for my motorcycle, I put it in the right place and started a few with J01. Needless to say, the 800cc V engine didn't bother him at all, he flicked the machine like a dream.
As expected, each start drains almost nothing from the battery, so it can be expected that there will be quite a few attempts of energy in the box even in the case of cars.
Conclusion
Short? It works! Longer? The TUERRB J01 is an average pocket bull, or, as the English say, a jump starter. It's completely fine, the size, weight, capacity and amperage are good, the lamp can be used on it, the quality of the crocodile clip cable is also good, and there is also the cigarette lighter socket as an extra.
If I had to look for a negative, I would perhaps mention the hardness of the cover, but I can't say that it's clearly bad either, just that a little impact protection wouldn't have hurt.
The TUERRB J01 does the job well, and I think that at current prices, a gadget like this or something like this really belongs in every car and every biker's backpack. You will rarely need it, I only needed it once, but then I was very happy that I didn't have to call the ambulance, it was enough to put the two tweezers on the battery terminals, I started it and I could go home.
So the bottom line is, if you don't have such a gadget yet, you can even buy this one, because it knows everything you need to know.
