So we used a Core i5 based test system for the measurements, the motherboardWe have activated their own XMP profile in the BIOS. This did not involve a Base Clock modification for the Value Plus and Ultra Plus, but for the EVO TWO 1800 MHz clock, the profile activates some BLCK tuning.

It is clear that there is no or only a very small difference between the timing of CL6 and CL7, this is not very noticeable in everyday use. The EVO TWO is already roaring at 1800 MHz, as it has many benefits in its pocket. 466 MHz clock surcharge, only 1 higher delay compared to it, and some base clock tuning, which also makes sense for the CPU clock, so it's no wonder EVO TWO is already visibly faster than Ultra Plus, although as always, There were also exceptions, such as WinRAR's built-in speed test.
Evaluation
Overall, there was no big surprise in GeiL’s updated memories. Based on its great predecessors, the Value and Ultra, the upgraded Value Plus and Ultra Plus have become even more attractive, and the redesigned design has also improved heat dissipation. GeiL is one of the most renowned manufacturers, offering high quality modules from the demanding entry level to the premium category. These RAMs are tested to very strict specifications. This is the DBT, i.e Die-Hard Burn-In Technology, which means a huge test machine load. The stress test is performed at 100 degrees for 24 hours, the machine can accommodate and burn 1000 modules at a time. Only RAMs that pass this test without fail come out of the factory, and GeiL uses its own chips in its modules, so in many cases it can be cheaper than the competition. Value Plus, Ultra Plus and EVO TWO are all quality memories available in so many different versions that anyone can find what they need. The EVO TWO is the successor to the EVO ONE, and we would recommend it primarily to those who have a thicker wallet and strive for the maximum, longing for premium memory. Ultra Plus only has a payable advantage over Value Plus when compared to the CL9 timed version, with the Value Plus CL7 timed in the test being virtually no slower than the Ultra Plus CL6, so I recommend it rather, we know Value Plus with the CL7, as we get virtually the same fast RAMs associated with a better price. Lastly, don't forget that GeiL's memories come with a lifetime warranty, with immediate replacement, and it's a good idea to consider when buying!
