Nokia sends more than 4000 people
Nokia has announced that it will lay off a total of 4000 people worldwide from its factories later this year.
Nokia officially announced yesterday that it will lay off around 4000 people in Hungary, Finland and Mexico later this year. According to the announcement, more than half of the workers, 2300 people, will be sent from the Komárom plant.
Nokia is reportedly relocating most of its production in Asia, explaining that the devices will be able to reach the market faster. The downsizing will be carried out this year, it is not yet known at what pace, so then only the 2013 data will show whether this was a good decision.
